Speedway High School Homecoming events will take place from September 13th through September 18th. Information on these events can be found below:
Spirit Wear:
Monday, Sept. 13th - Hawaiian or Class Colors
Tuesday, Sept. 14th - 1960s/Hippie Day or Class Colors
Wednesday, Sept. 15th - Western Wear or Class Colors
Thursday, Sept. 16th - Superhero or Class Colors
Friday, Sept. 17th - Speedway Spirit or Class Colors

The Student Council will host a semi-formal Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Sept. 18th from 7:00-10:00 pm in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and can be bought during lunch or from Mr. Shively in room 154. The last day to buy tickets is Wednesday, Sept. 15th. Students who wish to bring a non-SHS guest will need to also pick up a permission form for that guest when buying tickets.
Homecoming t-shirts are now on sale. Shirts are $10 and will be printed in the following class colors:
Fresh - Green
Soph - Orange
Junior - Red
Seniors - Blue
Pick up an order form in the office, from Miss McKay, or by clicking here. Order forms and payment must be given to Miss McKay by 9am on Sept 7th or they will not be sent.
In order to raise money for this year's Prom, all underclassmen are invited to participate in this year's magazine fundraiser. By particpating, students are eligible for the following prizes:
- For every 3 magazine orders turned in, student will receive a spin-out from Twist & Pup
- For every 3 magazine orders turned in, student will have a chance to draw money out of the cash bag next week
- For every 12 magazine orders turned in, student will receive a $25 gift card

To date, Speedway High School has recycled over 6 tons of paper, saved over 18 cubic yards of landfill space, and saved over 24,000 KWH of energy. Please help us to meet our goal of collecting one ton of paper each month so that our school can earn money and make the community greener.
The green and yellow recycling bin is located in the rear parking lot of SHS.
